Youth Summit

The 18th Asia-Pacific Conference on Giftedness (APCG)

About Youth Summit

The APCG 2024 Youth Summit will take place over five days from August 16 to 20, 2024, mainly at Kagawa University’s Saiwaicho Campus. It invites participation under the overarching theme, “Connecting the World Glocally to Ensure a Sustainable and Equitable Future.” Designed with the aim of fostering collaboration among talented junior high school students from around the globe, the summit serves as a nexus for individuals with diverse backgrounds to collectively address pertinent issues, explore the concept of glocal (global and local) sustainability, and establish a fruitful international network.

The program is uniquely developed to prioritize inquiry-based activities, leveraging the abundant resources of the local environment. Beyond intellectual pursuits, the summit offers cultural experiences and city tours. On the third day, participants will embark on a scenic ferry journey to Shodoshima, where they will engage in seine fishing alongside local fishermen.

We extend a warm invitation to join this transformative experience, offering a platform for meaningful connections and a deeper understanding of global issues. Prospective participants are encouraged to adhere to the application guidelines provided below.
